Graduate Program
Sociology, MA
A Master of Arts in Sociology equips you to be a skilled social analyst and researcher. A society that is awash in information and opinions based on low-quality data is in need of socially relevant research of the highest caliber. Working closely with research-active faculty, you will take intensive discussion seminars on sociological theory and selected specialty areas such as Environmental Sociology, Sociology of Immigration, and Social Movements. You will also receive hands-on training in research methods, including two semesters of quantitative data analysis.
